Corpus Hormē by Hrysovalanti Maheras

Corpus Hormē  is a kinetic light sculpture inspired by the sun’s passage into the monarch butterfly’s body (corpus). Solar heat activates its nervous system, generating impulses (hormē) that animate its wings. Illuminated through light and movement, these impulses trace exchanges between body and environment, questioning affect and vulnerability in a warming world.
